The University Counselling Office at Concordia Ontario Academy is committed to supporting our students as they plan for future education and careers.
Counsellors help students identify and develop their individual passions and strengths and explore how these will shape their post-secondary studies and future careers. They strive to work in close partnership with students and their families, recognizing, as psychologist Michael Thompson has pointed out, that this process is about much more than the mechanics of selecting a place of higher education: it is “the most important and difficult transition” in a young person’s life.
The office also provides course selection counselling as subject choices often influence opportunities for study at the post-secondary level.
